YOU ARE LOVED

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us…” - 1 John 3:16

Germaine Copeland, author of the bestselling Prayers That Avail Much, once stood at the edge of despair. Plagued by chronic fear, anxiety, and deep depression, she reached a breaking point one cold January day. With a bottle of pills in hand, ready to end her life, she felt utterly hopeless and unloved. In that darkest moment, Jesus appeared to her in a vision, not in condemnation, but in overwhelming love. Christ spoke peace to her soul, lifted the heavy burden of despair, and delivered her completely from the pit that had stolen her joy and peace. From that day forward, she experienced glorious freedom, knowing she was profoundly loved by God. Her life was transformed, and she went on to help countless others discover the same redeeming love.

Beloved, this is the depth of God’s love for you: not earned, not conditional, but fierce and pursuing. Hezekiah cried out in gratitude, “Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption” (Isaiah 38:17). God’s love reached into the grave of corruption and pulled him back to life. Are you trapped in the pit of sin? God is able to bring you up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set your feet upon a rock” (Psalm 40:1–2,). God hears the cry of the brokenhearted and lifts them with tender, rescuing love.

You are not forgotten in your pit. You are not defined by your failures or your pain. You are extravagantly loved. The same God who delivered Germaine, David, and countless others reaches for you today:lifting you out, setting your feet on solid rock, and declaring you His beloved. Because of Jesus, you will live through Him. You are forgiven, healed, redeemed, and cherished beyond measure.

Live today as one who is deeply loved. Let God’s salvation silence shame, banish fear, and fill you with unshakable joy. You are loved. Oh yes, with an everlasting love.

Today’s Recite: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8

Today’s Morning Prayers: O God, I thank You for Your loving grace. I pray that You will delivere me from corruption through Your Son’s sacrifice. Heal every wound, lift me from every miry clay, and set my feet on Christ, the Rock. Let me live today secure in Your love, free from condemnation, overflowing with gratitude. Help me to love others as You have loved me, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
